This listing is for our Radiodan FOUR radio to key ONE amplifier box that will allow you to use Any of up to FOUR radios to ONE amplifier There is no buffer inside this box, it's purpose is to allow any of your 4 radios to key your amplifier. If your amplifiers relay control voltage or current is beyond what your radio can switch, then you need an interface like the Radiodan RBI series Each radio's key line voltage is isolated from the other radios key line voltage, this product is MORE than a simple "Y" (a simple "Y" would put each radios keying circuit in parallel and would not be healthy for your radios!) Box color MAY be BLACK or GRAY (depending on what we have in stock) Your radios amplifier keying lines MUST switch low (to ground) on transmit normally to key your amplifier (or your interface box like our RBI-1 series) An amplifier keying line that goes to ground on transmit is the common normal way radios will key an amplifier Your amplifier MUST be of the type that has a positive voltage for it's internal T/R relay on it's RELAY jack and needs ground to activate (typical modern amplifier) How to use? Connect the RCA plug into your amplifier "RELAY" jack (or an interface like the Radiodan RBI series), then plug EACH of your radio amplifier keying outputs to the RCA jacks on the box. When you key any radio, the amplifier will be keyed.
