These simple designs contain a wavy background design (version I with peaks pointing up (Spitzen nach oben) and version II with peaks pointing down (Spitzen nach unten), with the value in the centre and French text. This is a very nice example of the less common (grey)olive-green 1 Centime value, variant II a with the downward pointing peaks. This hard to find variation is catalogued in the Michel specialist volume at EUR 350,- for mint hinged, but this example is mint without gum. Very good colour with excellent perfs, nicely centered, some thinning at the back. This item will be sent by signed/tracked delivery on a stock card, in a card-backed envelope.
