Detroit Muscle Technologies reverse engineered, laser cut foams and seals required to restore the deteriorated foams in the A/C heater box of your 68-70 AMC Javelin or AMX. Also have a 71-72 Javelin AC kit. Different kit coming soon for 73-74. Included in the kit; Basic resto instructions with pictures. All internal foam and foam rubber insulation pieces (just like OEM) All internal charcoal foam seals and sealing strips Heater core foam rubber seals and strips Butyl rope caulk for sealing box halves Peel type pop rivets and pushnuts as required Most heater boxes can be disassembled, cleaned, foams installed and reassembled in an afternoon (this A/C box might take a weekend). I usually sand (or glass bead) blast the metal "doors" and all brackets. Wash the housing in hot soapy water with a scrub brush to clean out 30 years of movie tickets and leaves. Then apply 3M 77 spray adhesive to both the door and the foam. Wait for the adhesive to "set up" for a couple minutes and then apply the foams to the doors. Assemble in reverse order and install your heater box and save yourself hundreds of dollars having it done! Also have Heater Box Resto Kits for most other body styles. See my other auctions.
