The spine reads: "American Standard of Perfection, Published by American Poultry Association." The back cover is plain. Cover is in very good condition with minor wear at top and bottom of spine, and corners are slightly curved inwards. Inside flyleaf is inscribed "Property of L. P. Zeller, Milton, Indiana, Member of A. P. A." Zeller owned Milton Poultry Yards in Milton, and won prizes for his White Orpingtons and other fowl. Note flyleaf is separated from binding on copyright page on page 2-14, otherwise binding is tight. This edition features a color plate on page 27, and many black and white illustrations by noted poultry artists A. O. Schilling and Leo Paul Graham.
