It is inscribed along the side of the box "Arline from Pauline 4/30/52". The underside of the box is inscribed Sterling Silver, WASHINGTON REPRODUCTION, REPRODUCTION OF PATCH BOX FRANCIS RICHARDSON PHILA. 1718-1729, ORIGINAL IN PENNSYLVANIA ART MUSEUM. It is also marked BROCK AND COMPANY and numbered 210. The box weighs 71.7 grams. It measures 2-3/4 inches long, 2-1/8 inches wide and 3/4 inch high. When you open the box, you see the brilliant gold finish still intact. This is a wonderful collector's box guaranteed to please its new owner. The top has a beautifully engraved flower with pointed leaves in the background. It also has an intricate design going along the edges at the top. We have never seen one like this before.
