Description: Offered antique charcoal drawing "Venus of Milo" by most popular late 19th century American painter William Michael Harnett (1848-1892), signed and inscribed "Paris". He was born in Ireland, but was brought to Philadelphia as a child. In the 1880's he settled down in New York and painted still life which commanded prices as high as $10,000.This drawing measures 23" high x 9.5" wide without frame, wood with orange velvet frame is 27 3/4" x 13.5".It is in good condition considering age, the paper has a few halls which was restored, they are shown in pictures; otherwise it is a fine piece of art.
