For your consideration is this authentic vintage 1970’s Chinese army military SKS rifle 10-pouch ammunition clip chest-rig ammo bandolier. From my internet research I found the ammo pouches hold (2) two 10-round stripper clips each for a total of 20 stripper clips or 200 rounds of ammunition. The bandolier can also be adapted to safely and conveniently carry small tools, film, matches and other personal items while keeping your hands free. This 10-pouch ammunition chest bandolier is made out of green canvas material and weighs approximately 15.0 ounces by itself. The bandolier measures between approximately 26.0” and 27.0” long and 5.25” wide. Each of the ten pouches measures approximately 5.0” High, 2.50” across and 1.50” wide (front to back). Refer to description photos #14, #15 and #16 to confirm the size of the ammo bandolier and for more details about what I have described. The bandolier consists of (10) ten individual canvas pouches designed to carry a total of 20-rounds of rifle ammunition each. The pouches have flap closures that cinch securely closed with a pointed-oval toggle shaped piece of wood as depicted in description photos #1, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7 and #8. The bandolier has (2) two 1.0” wide adjustable length criss-crossing green colored canvas web shoulder straps with genuine brown leather keepers and a single 18.0” long 1.0” wide leader strap that I assume (not certain) can be used to cinch tie the bandolier around your waist. Refer to description photos #1, #2, #8, #9, #10 and #14 for more details about the noted straps and for more details about what I have described. The back of the bandolier is clearly stamped in black ink with (3) three lines of what I assume is Chinese writing. Amongst the writing are sets of numbers. The first number “7.62” which appears in the first (top) line and the second set of numbers “3544 – 78” appear in the third (bottom) line. Refer to description photos #12 and #13 to confirm the noted printed information and for more details about what I have described. The bandolier appears to have never been issued and remains in unused condition. I believe the bandolier may be military surplus. The aforementioned notwithstanding, due to long-term storage the bandolier has developed scattered areas of white spots that may actually be mild mildew. The noted white spots are mostly located on the back side of the bandolier and on one front pouch as clearly depicted in description photos. I believe the noted spots can easily be mitigated with a good cleaning. Refer to description photos #1, #5, #9, #10, #11, #12 and #13 to verify the white spots and for more details about what I have described. Other than the noted condition issues, the overall condition of this Chinese military ammo bandolier remains to be in very good condition. I believe any militaria collector or outdoorsman would be pleased to acquire this piece for either display purposes and/or field use as deemed appropriate.
