This intricate piece of Porcelain earthenware is 3 1/8" inches in height and has the desired markings on the base as shown in the photo. This outstanding piece of Japanese workmanship shows a beautiful wisteria garden on one side while the artist painted a stunning waterfall scene on the other, both sides show lots of Gold detailing. Satsuma is a creamy earthenware that is often decorated with scenes of flowers in the design. This type of ware was often created for the export market of the late 19th century to cater to the western markets.
