Description: This is a fabulous genuine silver Ancient Greek coin set into a beautiful handcrafted pendant. This authentic and certified Dionysus Tetradrachm was struck in 148 BC, making it over two thousand years old. The bezel pendant is handcrafted of solid sterling silver and is expertly fitted around the ancient coin in a protective bezel style setting. This authentic ancient coin is guaranteed with a Certificate Of Authenticity (COA) signed by Sergei Nechayev PhD, a well known Numismatic & Antique Expert - see photos #5 and #6. This coin was struck in the Greek City of Maroneia in Thrace circa 148 BC. It is a Silver Tetradrachm (33mm, 15.25 grams). The coin obverse is the head of young Dionysos right, wreathed with ivy and with band across forehead. The obverse features naked, standing left, holding grapes and two narthex wards, two monograms in field, to left and right. THIS ANCIENT COIN PENDANT COMES WITH THE CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY (COA) SHOWN IN THE PHOTOS #5 and #6. MEASUREMENTS - This pendant measures 42mm tall (1-5/8”) including the bail and 34mm (1-5/16”) wide at its widest point.
