Description: This is a small bronze 'Zebu' figure of the type typical of ancient Luristan ina period c. 1,000 B.C. in what is now modern day Iran. It's beautifully formed and detailed at it's surface. The piece measures c. 6 cm. l. x 5-1/2 cm. h. and 1 cm w.. The patina and encrustations reflect age commensurate with items of the period. This was inherited from my mother in '02. She was a noted art historian and collector.
