Inspiration comes from the beauty and tropical environment in the heart of New Orleans. DETAILS: This print is signed and has the title, date, and edition number on the front and back. It is professionally printed on a heavy card paper in mat white. It measures 11 x 14 inches with no border. This print will easily fit an 11 x 14 inch standard frame. Thank you! ABOUT THE ARTIST: Kristi Jones was named after Howard Chandler Christy, who was a 20th century illustrator and distant relative. Kristi developed an innate artistic ability from being raised in an artistic home, which had an art studio and library. Both of her parents obtained art degrees. Her father has placed (numerous times) in the top tenth percentile in state and federal duck stamp art contests, and her mother has sold work at a local gallery. Kristi studied art at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts (NOAFA), and is also self-taught. She has created mosaics and sold her unique tropical jewelry at the Red River Revel for four years. Presently, she has turned to painting, and has sold work both locally and nationally. She has exhibited at shows and galleries, including several group shows in northwest Caddo Parish, including Centenary College's Meadows Museum of Art and Centenary's Magale Library, and Artspace in downtown Shreveport. In December 2011, Kristi was awarded a visual arts grant from the Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC), and became a Juried Roster Artist in 2012.
