Annie Modica Imari Decoupage Blue White 11" Pedestal Cake Stand Plate Near Mint!

Description: Today I am offering this fabulous vintage Annie Modica pedestal cake stand. It is in her Imari pattern which is Chinese porcelain inspired chinoiserie, blue willow style. The borders are blue and white striped. The striking image on the top is of an array of antique blue and white porcelain vases and other vessels. These pieces are created by Annie Modica using a distinctive decoupage technique, combined with a traditional hand painting and multi step lacquering process. I believe the underlying material is wood with so many glossy lacquer layers it feels like ceramic. It has her signature name and image logo in the underside of the plate section. The bottom of the flared pedestal stand is covered in black felt to protect surfaces. It's an impressive heavyweight large piece measuring 11" across the top, 5" tall, and the sturdy base is approximately 5" across. It's in remarkably excellent condition considering it is about 20 years old. I only found two miniscule fleabites in inconspicuous areas which I have taken close-up pictures of and circled in red. One is very thin on the edge of the bottom rim of the top plate . The other is a tiny speck in the bottom base edge. They are almost not worth mentioning, but I like to be 100% accurate and transparent with my descriptions. The original retail price was $198. This is a rare find in this condition as most have peeled lacquer spots or unsightly chips. Please review all the pictures and zoom in for close-ups as they are an integral part of the description.
