Description: For sale are two art pottery plates created by Louisiana artist Rebecca Rebouché for Anthropologie. Rebouché, who is known for her nostalgic, emotive and whimsical pieces in paint, mixed media and stitched soft sculpture., got her start on the road showing her paintings at art festivals. She continues to be inspired by the romance of the South, particularly the flora and fauna that surround her rural studio. In her recent, sold-out collaboration with Anthropologie, Rebouche translates her playful, naïf aesthetic onto a series of wildly imaginative, beautifully detailed , 8.25" dessert plates. The nature-themed ceramics feature fantasy animals, or real animals in fantastic situations. Here, an elephant and swan spoon together, and a pensive toucan considers a gust of wind. Although the plates are being sold as used, neither shows any wear. I find no chips, cracks, crazing, fading or staining. The designs are strongly colored and intact. Distinctive bone china plates are dishwasher -and- microwave safe. Collectible pair ships USPS Ground Advantage from Los Angeles. Details: By Rebecca Rebouche New bone china Dishwasher safe 8.25" diameter Imported Note this is for the two plate set , the elephant/ swan and the toucan plates, as pictured.
