Description: A rare set of Brown-Westhead Moore Bone China plates 8 3/4" in excellent condition from around 1900 before they changed name to Cauldon in 1905 and before they garnered Royal status as Royal Cauldon in 1920s.They feature beautiful hand-painted garlands of roses with a thick gold boarder with raised outine and raised dots on the rim. Within the gold are green oakleaves and quatrefoils. If that wasnt enough, the reverse has a gilded footer!! This is the only plate I have seen that has a decorated footer - and in gold!! Altogether, this is an exceptional Victorian piece that is still very contemporary in feel. Excellent condition.
