Description: This is an antique stoneware 1/4 liter beer stein mug from Germany. It's nicely decorated in blue on gray with a man resembling Falstaff, flanked by two mottos in German (choose beer or wine and beer and song keep spirits high). It has the incised "1/4 L." mark on the top edge, the bottom is marked with the number 474. It's in good condition without any chips or cracks. It measures about 4-1/4" tall.
