Description: Up for your consideration is a stunning antique small French Tapestry. This was picked up by my Grandfather somewhere in his many travels. He was a British Military Officer during World War II and later a Diplomat. This probably dates from 1799-1830. It has been displayed out of sunlight so the colors are amazing. Some fraying around the edges. Would look amazing framed. It has been displayed. at my fishing cottage for many years. This antique tapestry depicts a French court outdoor party scene from the 1700s-1800s. The handmade piece is made of fabric and features a Provencal pattern with multicolor accents. Measuring 39 inches in length and 20 inches in height, the small rectangle shape is suitable for wall mounting and oriented horizontally. The tapestry is an original piece from the mid-20th century and was manufactured using weaving techniques in France. It is perfect for any antique collector or lover of period styles and themes. The item is not signed but is believed to be of French origin. From my personal collection. Selling to downsize a bit. New items listed every week. Please see and save my eBay store. Many repeat customers. You never know what will be for sale.
