ANTIQUE 1800s TOLEWARE PAINTED TIN TABLE CONDIMENT BOX LION HEAD RING HANDLES

Description: This is a wonderful antique toleware tin condiment or spice box with claw feet and lion head ring handles!....It has a covered top which opens up to reveal the tray inside which can be removed to sit on the table (bottles are missing).....Beautiful gold and silver hand painted flowers on the front of box....the rest of box is all black.....Brass lion heads on each side holding a ring carrying handle in mouth. Iron claw feet soldered on all 4 corners of bottom. Box measures 6 1/2"tall (10"to brass finial on top of handle that sticks up through a small hole in the hinged cover. The tin tray inside has spaces for 6 spice bottles or containers....each hole is 1 3/8"across. It has a hand soldered wire heart decoration. Excellent condition with no dents or damage. Just missing the condiment or spice bottles that were inside. This authentic 1800s toleware tin spice box came from an old New England estate collection....
