Description: This antique elephant folio titled "Gothische Bauornamente" (Gothic Architectural Ornaments) or Examples of Gothic Ornaments & Architecture by Johannes Otzen was published in the late 1800's by Verlag von Ernst Wasmuth. This large folio features 20 loose plates, as designed, showcasing Gothic ornaments and architecture. The hardcover binding (13" X 19.5") has stains and edge wear and is in German. The author, Johannes Otzen, was an expert in his field. "Gothic Architectural Ornaments" was compiled by the architect Johannes Otzen (1839-1911) who was an urban planner, architectural theorist and university professor. He worked primarily in Berlin and northern Germany. Otzen carried out the overall urban planning of the Berlin villa colonies of Groß-Lichterfelde and Friedenau.Thank you for considering our listing!
