Description: Margie Coates must have been famous enough that her picture on the cover of a piece of sheet music was considered to be an incentive to purchase a copy, because she appeared on dozens of covers 100 years ago, but she apparently wasn't famous enough for her fame to survive the ravages of time. There doesn't seem to be a wikipedia page for her nor does she appear in any other wikipedia entry. No one on the entire internet has written a blurb, biography, or an anecdote. Am I misreading her name? Have I missed something? I would love for someone to write to me and explain my mistake that prevented me from finding a single paragraph that could shed some light on who Margie Coates was. In addition, while I have found numerous covers of various songs with her picture, including the same picture that is on Sweet Henry, I have not seen a copy of Sweet Henry like this on eBay or google images. The website jazzage1920s.com has a picture of a cover of Sweet Henry like this one but Margaret Young is in the frame instead of Margie Coates. Refunds only with returns. Shipped well protected.
