Description: This listing is for a set of four Chinese Export plates that were made for the US market circa 1820. These have an unusual blue outer rim followed by two inner bands with a sailing ship in the center of the plate. The mast of each ship features an eagle holding a shield with red & white stripes. These plates come up occasionally, but it's very uncommon to find matching sets. They are in great shape for their age with the exception of one plate, which has had a professional repair (see photos). They are approximately 10 1/4" in diameter.
