Description: Antique 19th Century Italian Marble Sculpture Child Reading after Antonio Canova Measures about 15 1/2" (height) x 7" (width) x 8" (depth), not including the base. Shows signs of age and wear along with some scratches, nicks, and scuffs. Toe is chipped off from one of the feet and possible earlier repairs to same area at foot and ankle, not certain, hard for me to tell (see last attached photo). Any other cracks noticed appear to be from age or the inherent natural inclusions of the marble and not from damage. This fine sculpture was once part of an antique lamp and therefore has a lamp-post hole on the back side of the base. Uncleaned "as-found" in good condition overall as noted.
