Description: This is an original oil on canvas painting signed by listed artist George O Beardsley 1867 to 1938. This artist was originally from New York and spent his later years painting in Kansas and Colorado. This was purchased in Topeka Kansas where he once lived. You can google him and find a wonderful photo of him in his studio. The original period frame is 23 3/4" by 18 3/4" and has much gesso loss. It is very rough. The fruit painting is 20 1/2" by 14 1/2"and features strawberries with white violets and a glass of red wine on a table. It is signed and dated 1898. The painting could be cleaned as this is how it came from estate. This is beautiful in person and expertly painted. It weighs 6 pounds. You should love it. Thanks for looking.
