Description: Antique 19thC VICTORIAN OVAL BROOCH BORDER For Jewelry STEEL STAMPING DIE JN1434 This listing is for an antique steel stamping die that was used to make a 13/16” x 1 9/16” oval brooch or similar piece of jewelry. The Steel block was manufactured in the 4th Quarter of the 19th Century by William H Miller of Providence, RI (signed W.H.M. MNF’R PROV. RI.). The die is an early 2-piece style with a hardened steel top joined to a larger mass of less expensive steel below. The die has base dimensions 3” X 3 ⅞”, top dimensions 2 ⅛” x 3”, and it stands 3” high. The die weighs 7 lbs and the condition is VF to Excellent with great pattern details and minor deformation in the soft steel along the base. Please look at all the photos and ask any questions.
