Description: A single antique toy train car. Cast iron ( magnet sticks ) with old silver paint. 6 1/2" long. Weight is about 13 oz. ( package weight will be higher ). " 163 " on the each side, otherwise unmarked. Maker unknown. Quite old; appears to be from around 1920 or earlier. Condition is as-found; see the photos. The two sides of the train car are only loosely joined by the metal rod. One end of the rod was cut by a former owner; the rod is a little too short to correctly join the sides together, so the sides of the car are misaligned and loose. It has significant condition issues however this toy seems to be pretty scarce. I've searched through a lot of pictures online, trying to find another example of this " 163 " train car, but so far I've found none other at all. Some are similar, however none Ive seen are exactly the same. It looks similar to some antique Hubley train cars, however with some differences ; this one has 5 square windows on each side, raised " 163 " on each side, and the area for wheel attachment is a little different than any other I've seen. Also, at 6.5" long it's a bit larger than most I've seen. Carefully packed for shipment to the buyer. Happy bidding!
