Description: Offered for sale is a 19th century American pewter syrup pitcher with a tapered body, C scroll handle and beak spout. Its stepped lid is fitted with a button finial. A gather of metal on the spout appears to be a rather indelicate job of soldering if not an early repair. Largely free of decoration except for reeding at the base, the pitcher relies on its slender taper for eye appeal. It stands 5 3/4 inches to the finial with a base diameter of 3 1/2 inches. Shipping is by USPS Priority insured, and there is no handling charge. I invite you to view other items I nave listed. Thanks for looking, and enjoy the hunt.
