Description: Rare to find in this size and with original label. Antique 1-gallon, amber brown apothecary / pharmacy bottle that once held Heroin and Terpin Hydrate. Labels read "Keep in a warm place" - 1 Gal - Elixer No. 135 - Heroin and Terpin Hydrate - Medicaments same as in N. F. Elixer - Each Fluid Oz contains: Alcohol 35% - Heroin 1/8th GP? - Terpin Hydrate 8 Grains. - Dose -1 ??? teaspoons full (4 to 15 mill?) - Parke Davis & Co - Manufacturing Chemists - Picture of a building - Detroit - USA." Question marks represent un-readable parts of the label. Bottle has what looks like a popped bubble along the upper neck seam line that has popped. Please see pics, not really sure how to describe it. Original label is a bit beat up and missing a few corners and pieces.There are a couple inclusions in the glass and a slightly rough manufacturing flaw in the back. There is a horizontal diamond shape embossed on the bottom which looks like it might have a J inside the diamond. Bottle measures 13.5 x 5.25 inches. Please see pics for all details.
