This bayonet is a Swiss model 1918/55 Schmidt-Rubin Sig Neuhausen.It carries the K31 carbine rifle Serial No.599860, that it was issued with.It comes with the metal scabbard. This bayonet is in good condition, but shows signs of use on it's edges. See pictures The blade is approximately 115/8th inches.The blade has a diamond shaped cross, with No fuller. It is double edged, but it is not sharpThe Waffenfabrik Neuhausen stamp can be clearly seen on the ricasso of one side of the blade, the obverse ricasso is blank.The flattened quillon is approximately 3 11/16ths, It is stamped with the Swiss cross and a small circle, the Muzzle ring hole is approximately 14mm (9/16ths) The bolt spring action is smooth, no binding.See pictures for an idea of overall condition.
