Description: This is a beautiful example of an early antique Biedermeier doll wearing her amazing original silk ensemble. I believe the outfit was originally sewn on her, and someone has added the snaps at a later date. The dress is extremely fragile and deteriorating, please view the photos. She also has what appear to be her original under clothes. She has a gorgeous face with beautiful facial painting and no damage to the China. I have not undressed her to see the back of the shoulder plate because the dress is pinned on in places. She does have a small chip on her right fingers. She also has a tiny pin size scuff at the tip of her nose. The wig is antique and possibly original as well. She has antique shoes and socks. she has a seam separation at one knee and is losing some sawdust. This should be a simple fix, and I can wrap this so that she will not lose too much during shipping. The body is cloth and appears to be all original. This type of doll is not my area of expertise, so please feel free to ask me any questions of importance to you before purchase.
