Description: Beautiful Antique Swiss Carved Fruit Group. A period carving consisting of hanging fruit, vine leaves, pears, cherries and grapes with ribbons at the top. Circa late 19th, early 20th century. A really lovely art carving. It has been later mounted to a mahogany back board and contained in a quality contemporary frame. Quite large, the frame is 20 x 16 inches and the carving itself 14 x 9 inches with a max depth of approx 2 inches. All in good collectable/display condition. No apparent damage to the work itself. The frame has one very small flea bite, top corner edge left, hardly noticeable, which does not detract. A rare, fine example with hanging cord on the reverse, all ready to go.
