Circa 1900 It measures 9" (23 cm) in height, by a maximum width of 8.6" (22 cm). Top without handle measures 4.8" (12 cm) and base 5.3" (16 cm). It weights 3 lb 14 oz (1755 g). In 1841, Eugen Boch bought a pottery in the Hamlet of Saint-Vaast well located in relation to the land deposits, the Charleroi canal, railway access and active coal mining in the region, the starting point of the Boch Frères Company which was founded on September 30, 1844. The first staff of the earthenware factory was made up of Luxembourgers, Sarrois, Lorraines coming from Septfontaines, Echternach and Mettlach, who were quickly joined by Belgians trained on the job .
