Description: Antique manuscript book, The Trial of Thomas O. Selfridge, Attorney at Law, 1806. Trial took place in Boston, Massachusetts, before judge the Hon. Isaac Parker, Esq. Selfridge was tried for killing Charles Austen. The manuscript was from the actual trial notes taken by 2 court reporters in shorthand. Later published by Russell, Cutler, Belcher, Armstrong, Olifer, and Munroe, and sold by them throughout the "Union." The book is enclosed in a manila folder and a plastic sheet protector. Also includes the original bill of sale from the last owner in1999. Book/manuscript is in very fragile condition. Binding is present, no covers, boards, etc. Pages are aged, discolored, damaged, but still readable.
