Description: I believe this to be an antique American commemorative piece, made not too long after the battle of the Alamo, sometime in the middle to late 19th century. I believe it represents James Bowie on one side with the bowie knife, and David Crockett on the other side with the buffalo, as the buffalo was a powerful symbol of the wild west then, and Crockett is known as, the king of the wild frontier. I think this is a truly unique piece of American history. It is all handmade with the bowie knife being embossed in high detail, even with all the pitting and wear, it still stands out. You can see that each of the four buffalo was individually made and then applied to the piece. The bail has a hand hammered surface. It has been tested and is "guaranteed" sterling silver. It definitely has pitting, tarnish, knicks, scratches, dents and bashes. It can hold up to a 8x5 millimeter thick chain. Length- 2 inches and 8 millimeters, including bail Width- 1 inch Weight- 48 grams All sales are final on this purchase, so be sure this is what you want, as it's described in great detail. Thank you.
