Description: This is an attractive lady bell dating from the 1920s or earlier. It is in teh shape of a girl in sixteenth century costume with a high ruff, carrying a basket - this is one of the less common designs. Two things make this one stand out - first it retains quite crisp features having been polished very little over the years, and second, it has a casting flaw at the front that was repaired at the workshop when it was made - this is quite unusual. ( the tone of the bell is still good when rung) Size: 6 cm high ( 2 3/8 inches) Weight: 98 grammes Condition: Good, no damage ( factory repair as noted) , light wear, it hs the original clapper.
