Antique c18th Meissen Style Figure Closter Veilsdorf

Description: On offer is this antique Meissen style hand painted figurine.This one is 'Junius' (June) and sees a young man with an umbrella in one hand and basket in the other. There is a plaque the rear of his right foot with a crab on it - the Cancer zodiac sign. Wearing an open neck shirt with matching pink floral vest and short pants. Pale green hat with red/orange band and feather.No mark to the base of this one, although I am selling a series of the other months which all carry the Closter Veilsdorf blue underglaze scissor mark - see my other listings.Height of 11cm. Unfortunately this piece has been repaired and repainted across his neck and chest at some point during its past. I am sure today's repair could be more sympathetic to the colouring if you desired to have it professionally redone.
