Description: Antique Capodimonte ? Figure with Mandolin This figure is not at all in my wheelhouse. It was purchased with early staffordshire figures. My feel is that it is probably an early piece, and has the incised N under crown. I'm going to surmise it is the most valuable of the options, as my preliminary research has not told me otherwise, which would be the early Capodimonte, but just basing this on some preliminary research, not expertise. Please let me know if I am off base as this is not at all my area of knowledge. Was told by a helpful Ebayer that it is a fine early Italian piece so description should be on point. Late 18th century Naples, real Fabbrica Ferdinandea, white porcelain figure of a lady with mandolin, hand modeled on a "rock base". This lovely statue is extremely detailed. The white ceramic is glazed and translucent with what appears to be original patina. Late 18th Century? Approx 7"H X 3.5"W. Condition: 2 chips to underside of hat, tip to mandolin is broken off, no evidence of repairs, minor imperfections to be expected with age. Terms of Sale Please review photos closely.
