Description: A wonderful Chinese jewelry drawer chest, made of cherry wood, covered with red lacquer, with traditional decoration of brass and carved jade stone on the front and on the sides, with a handle on the top. Very intricate design and attention to detail. When you open the two doors, there are three drawers with brass pulls, plus there is a separate drawer with removable upper compartment on the bottom. All drawers are covered with silk fabric in red and floral pattern. One of the drawers has a special compartment for rings. On the back, there is a metal label with the inscription "Made in China", and a number "303".Condition: the box is in a good vintage condition considering the age. There is some light scratches noted on one side and some fading/chipping around the edges of the drawers and outside edges. The lowest drawer (with the ring compartment) has what appears to be an ink stain in the corner and a tear in that same corner. Missing is the padlock and key. As with all vintage items, there may be a lingering scent with the age of the item. Overall, it's in great shape for the history this jewelry chest has had! Dimensions: Tall: 9.5" Wide: 7"Deep: 5"
