Description: For sale is an antique Chinese plate designed with a sgraffito design, which is a decorative technique of applying layers of color(s) of glaze(s) to pottery or porcelain and scratching off areas of that glaze to create a contrasting patterns, images, or texture. The design on this plate is a double dragon. CONDITION: The plate is in mint condition with absolutely no chips, flea bites, cracks, wear, or repairs. The top, brick-pink layer of glaze is pristine, also with no damage or wear. This plate is immaculate! Please see all photos and message me if you have any questions or would like additional photos. MEASUREMENTS / WEIGHT: The plate measure 9" in diameter with a 5 1/2" diameter base. It weighs 14 oz. MARKINGS: The plate is marked with Chinese characters, that I'm unable to interpret, on the base. TIME PERIOD: Unknown, but likely the first half of the 19th century (1800-1850).
