This piece features a detailed relief design of Christopher Columbus setting foot on a new land on the front and on the back is a very detailed scene of exploration and words commemorating the 400th anniversary of Columbus' landing. This was presented to or by the Visitation Academy Saint Gaudens. It is signed on the front and back "CE Barber". This medal is in great shape with no cracks, chips, nicks, bends, flaws, corrosion or repairs. It measures approx. 3" inches across and 1/8 inch thick. It weighs approx. 203 grams. This comes in the original aluminum presentation box in great shape. Nothing has been cleaned, altered or repaired.
