Description: Exquisite pin/brooch from the Edwardian/Art Deco period. Round, brilliant European mine-cut diamonds set in platinum. The largest diamond in the center is of high quality—clear and with few inclusions visible to the naked eye. Eleven vibrant, sparkly diamonds make a statement for such delicate workmanship. The Art Deco period saw a rise in platinum, whereas the Victorian period preferred yellow gold. This pin was made during the transition between the two periods, as evidenced by the use of both metals. The brooch is unsigned, which is commonplace with antique jewelry. This brooch is in excellent condition for its age, and the clasp is fully functional. The pin is made of 14K yellow gold and marked as such. The platinum is unmarked but jeweler-tested.
