Description: This is an antique early 20th century brass three tier folding magazine rack. I would estimate it dates circa 1910s or 1920s. When closed, it measures 38 1/2 inches tall x 9 3/4 inches wide (97.8 cm x 24.7 cm). When opened, it measures 37 1/4 inches tall (94.6 cm). Starting from the top, the shelves measure 8 1/4 inches wide x 8 inches deep, 10 inches wide x 9 inches deep, and 10 1/2 inches wide x 10 3/4 inches deep (21 cm x 20.3 cm, 25.4 cm x 22.8 cm, 26.6 cm x 27.3 cm). The finials on top are both bent inward. Given how strong the piece is, it must have originally been made like this as opposed to bending over time. The brass surface of the rack has tarnishing, scratches and scuffs marks. Personally, I think it all just tends to blend in with its old world look. It weighs a little under 4 lbs. 14 oz. (2.2 kg).
