Description: Antique Edwardian Sterling Silver Reticulated Shield Form Watch Fob Pendant Medallion Necklace. Two toned. Reversible. Made in England. Circa 1920.No monogram, perfect for your own personalization. Reversible, one side is all silver, reverse is silver with gold plated center shield. Made by Chester, England silversmith TJ Skelton in 1920. Contemporary silver toned (non sterling) double chain necklace with rope detailed toggle. Chain has a lovely delicate look to it.Pendant width: 1 1/4"; Pendant height: 1 3/4". Chain: 19" in length (when doubled), there is 38" chain total in this piece. This beautiful Edwardian sterling silver watch fob pendant medallion was made in 1920 in Chester, England by silversmith TJ Skelton. The piece has a reticulated scrolling design featuring a raised shield on both sides at the center surmounted by ribbon detail. The shield and ribbon have not been monogrammed or personalized in any way. The surface of the piece is finished with engraved details including foliate motifs and prick dot decoration. The watch fob pendant is in very good original condition. As an antique, the watch fob pendant shows slight signs of age with very fine scratches.The back carries a 3-part hallmark including the lion passant designating silver content ( London and other English assay offices) , the Chester Assay mark ( a sword erect between three wheat sheaves ( 1784-1962), and the date letter "U" designating production in 1920. It also carries a stamp with the letters TJS.This watch fob pendant medallion would be a wonderful addition to a collection of antique English silver jewelry. A highly collectible antique find!
