Description: This is an antique platter suitable for display or very gentle use. The back is stamped with “The Edwin M. Knowles Marion.” Please see all photos for condition! There are no true cracks in the body of the platter, however, there are some surface chips/wear, and crazing throughout the glazing. This platter has been washed, so the discoloration throughout appears to be beneath the glazing. The largest chip is located along one of the short edges on the top. The background is a creamy yellow color, and it features decorative floral accents in dark pink, blue, yellow, and green. This platter is very heavy weighing in at well over 2 1/2 pounds! Despite imperfections, or maybe because of them, this platter is incredibly beautiful and would be perfect for display or for use during special occasions! This was an old Vermont barn find!
