Description: For your consideration is this absolutely stunning antique Sølje brooch, crowned heart variety. Thought to be a rare piece, it is both large in size and has unusual enamel work in both plique a jour and cloisonne styles, making this piece highly-desirable.The brooch, which features an old-style c-clasp, measures about 4.25" from the top of the crown to the bottom-most dangle. It features four filigree openwork dangles, which are replete with red, white, and blue enamel, giving this piece a lot of movement and depth.The brooch is stamped 925 and signed, unfortunately, I was unable to identify the maker based on what is readily available online. The signature features what appears to be a snake or an "S" and then a pictorial design.There are some tiny enamel pieces missing, but it is hard to notice without careful inspections.
