Description: For your consideration is a nice antique entry mortise door lock set manufactured by Russell & Erwin in New Britain Conn. in the early 1900's. The mortise lock is # 9098 as shown in the 1926 Russwin trade catalog. The set comes with two heavy brass pull handles, each with thumb latch and lock two cylinder locks with 3 keys. The latch, lock face plate, pull handles and many of the internal parts are made of brass. The lock body is cast iron. The mortise lock is in excellent functional condition - it has been refurbished - all parts disassembled, cleaned and properly reassembled. The lock is reversible - it will work with a right or left hand swing door. Dimensions of the face plate: 7-1/8 x 1-3/16", Distance between the lock face and center-of-cylinder (set back): 2-3/4".
