Description: Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Antique Furniture. Fabulous Art Deco Solid Brass Griffin Fan Fireplace Screen. Unmarked. Dates to the 1920s or 1930s. Great detailed winged Griffin on each side. Original finial on top. There are original brass latches that when lifted release the brass fan shaped blades of the firescreen. Beautiful functional piece. Almost Antique. Around 100 years old. Complete and in good condition for age. The brass has patina from age. You could polish this if you wanted but I love the look just as it is. Fabulous Art Deco fan fold out Griffin Fireplace screen. Displays beautifully and is functional. Measures about 24 3/4" tall to top of finial. Measures about 8 1/2" wide at widest when closed and is about 3 1/2" deep. When screen is fanned open it measures about 37" wide at extremes.
