Description: Very handsome and heavy brass or bronze door knocker with crisp detail depicting the epitome of what you would see on the front doors of New England architecture of Rhode Island. The classical Federal flat head American eagle. Appears to have been sand casted. Appropriate wear is shown where the knocker strikes.
