Description: 4 handleless tea mugs and three 6” plates. These plates are deep, they may be dessert plates. Tea mugs are 3” tall, 3.5” across. Plates are 6” across and 1.25” deep. No chips, age crazed. Flow blue, almost black. Charles Meigh c.1835-49 "Athens" manufactured by Charles Meigh c.1835-49 in black mulberry in the "Athens" pattern. The plates bear a cartouche with the name "Athens" inside, also a faint impressed mark (no. 2618 in the Encyclopedia of British Pottery and Porcelain Marks by Geoffrey Godden, page 428) and printed mark no. 2617, barely seen. All items I sell are cleaned and stored in sanitized condition and packages are put in my mailbox or taken directly to the post office. I have been selling on eBay for 23 years with lots of repeat customers and a great seller rating.
