Description: Lovely pair of antique continental European dormeuse earrings. High repousse relief of a flower flanked by leaves and with a bright red coral or coral glass bead center. Silver with gold wash. Light and comfortable to wear. Hallmarked 835 which indicated 0.925 (sterling) purity (read history of hallmarks for the reason 835 was used) plus a couple of letters I can't read. Continental European--probably German, Austrian, Belgium, or Dutch. ~3/4" tall x 5/8" wide. Total weight 3.8 grams. Good vintage condition but one earring has loose leverback--top part of closure is fine but bottom (lever) portion is loose. Perfectly wearable but you have to manually flip that lever portion up to meet the top wire. Priced accordingly.
