Antique, very scarce nearly two century old two volumes in one edition of Pugin and Heath's Paris and Its Environs fully bound in decorative period leather in overall very good condition. Exterior features marbled outer page fore edges, hubbed spine face with gold gilded design and text as well as gold gilded bordering to the covers and gold gilded design to the outer fore edges of the boards themselves. Book also has marbled endpapers. Exterior shows some minor age or shelf wear like superficial cracking to the leather spine around the hinges but still remaining very sturdy. Gold gilded design to spine shows some minor loss. Corner edges of the boards show some rubbing and the upper and lower spine likewise have some rubbing. Interior of the book is overall very clean for its age with some minor foxing or toning here and there and there is an added type label on the lower margin of the title page. Book's binding is tight and the book is well intact with all pages present and none coming loose, detached or missing. Book totals 202 pages, measures approximately 11 x 8 3/4 x 1 5/8 inches and weighs about 4 1/2 pounds.
