Description: Antique French Academic Life Drawing, Paris Art School, Seated Man Model, 1912 This antique French drawing of a seated male model is a life study done in a Parisian art academy. It is dated “9 nov. 1912”. It was executed on Berville paper, as shown by the watermark on the paper “L. Berville (France)”. The Berville company, created in 1833, was an art supplies manufacturer and dealer in Paris, located in the rue de la Chaussée-d’Antin. This drawing is in very good condition, with the exception of folds, small tears on the edges and tiny holes made by pins used to attach it to the drawing surface.
